On the 14th October to the 18th October 2016 I visited Madrid, the capital city of Spain. This was a good opportunity for me to capture a different culture and give me inspiration for future projects. Throughout my trip I had themes which I had to photograph. My themes were; plants, textures, the colour blue and the number 39.
Whilst I was there I visited the Botanical Gardens, which is an 8 acre garden located at Murillo square. The garden is divided into three major outdoor sections and two greenhouses. In total the Botanical Garden includes about 30,000 plants and flowers, and 1,500 trees. I really enjoyed this visit because it was interesting to see and photograph all the wildlife. It was also a great opportunity for me to takes photos for my theme of plants.
I also visited multiple art and photography galleries. Including The Reina Sofia, The Thyssen Museum, Museo Del Prado, Caixa Forum and the Bruce Davidson exhibition. It was fascinating to look at all of the artwork and discover new photographer who I didnt already know about.
I also went to the El Rastro which is the most popular open air flea market in Spain. It's held every sunday and public holiday throughout the year and located between Calle Embajadores and the Ronda de Toledo. I loved photographing all of the bright colours and the toys in the market. It was also interesting to look at all of the local produce and products.

Visiting galleries in london
Basing some work on my personal passions and obsessions
Using inspiration from my trip to Madrid
Researching other general passions and obsession
Developing my ideas to eventually create a final piece
